By "closes out" does that mean your browser closes down - disappears?   That's strange, and implies an incompatibility between something on the website and your browser.
 
One 'strangeness' about the album login is that it will frequently imply that the login didn't work - you enter the user ID and password and hit 'enter' and it just leaves the login window up with the user ID in place and an empty password field - but it really logged in.  You just close the login window and refresh the album window and it'll show you as logged in.
